We are pleased to offer a variety of yoga classes and styles for all students and all levels.

Kripalu: (Moderate) The Sanskrit word Kripalu means compassion. Kripalu yoga is an introspective practice that focuses on the intertwining of breath and movement. During classes Poses might be held for a longer period (relative to some other styles) so one can explore both the physical and emotional sensations of the posture. Kripalu Yoga is a gentle yet dynamic practice – spontaneous, flowing, and meditation-orientated. By focusing inward each student is encouraged to find his or her own path and level of challenge.

Yin: (Gentle) In yin yoga we target the connective tissues, such as ligaments and fascia, along with the energetic systems of the body, bringing the body into balance and increasing it’s natural range of motion. Most poses are done while seated or lying down and are held in stillness for 3-5 minutes or more. This practice will leave you feeling refreshed, renewed and restored.

Gentle Yoga Bliss: A calming, stress-relieving yoga class to stretch and strengthen the body gradually. Emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and the body. Asanas are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment and detail. Recommended for all levels looking for a soothing, relaxing, and restorative experience, especially those newer to yoga or working with special concerns or injuries.

Vinyasa / Flow: (Strong, unless otherwise specified) Recommended for those with at least 6 months of yoga experience. This class focuses on vinyasa style yoga (connecting breath to movement) and builds heat, strength and flexibility.

Candlelight Vinyasa: (Moderate) Set to music and lit only by candles this soulful vinyasa class builds heat, strength and flexibility while allowing the mind to flow into an exuberant state of meditation by traveling inward as is enhanced by the darkness. Attention is paid to the alignment of the physical form as well as to the subtle energy body (chakras).

Happy Hour Vinyasa: (Strong) With John HoranAs a vinyasa class the pace will be steady and at times demanding. But starting slow and building to crescendo, care will be taken to carry the body in harmonious balance to build strength and openness.  Students should bring a towel for sweat as one of the key components of this class will be inner fire.

Restorative: (Gentle) This calming, nurturing class promotes the effects of conscious relaxation and is particularly beneficial for coping with insomnia, menstrual discomfort, headaches, fatigue and an overstimulated nervous system. Props are utilized for maximum comfort. Restore, refresh, renew. Everyone is welcome!

Plus Size: (Moderate) Experience the stress relief and healing power of yoga while celebrating the wonderful gifts and strength of your own unique body.  In this class, as in all the others we find alignment by listening in and being present within the wisdom of our own bodies.  This is a slightly slower paced class to allow for exploration, modification and ease in transition.  Good for beginners of all sizes and ages.

Adaptive: (Gentle) This  class is designed for students with a variety of needs who are looking for a safe place to experience the multiple benefits of yoga. These benefits would include increased flexibility, greater sense of balance, moderate strengthening, and the ability to be present in themselves in the breath to achieve the optimum degree of healing in each experience whether in a yoga class or in the world.

Rise and Shine Shakti: (Moderate) Greet the morning sun with this refreshing class for early risers.  Set the tone for your day by bringing balance and energy into the body, allowing you more clarity and focus as the day goes on.  A great way to fit yoga into a busy schedule before the workday begins!
